Booking terms and conditions 

 

Booking and payment policy 

1. The guest making the booking must be a minimum of 18 years of age. 

2. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at time of booking and full payment is required 21 days prior to arrival.

3. The minimum stay is 2 nights and 3 nights over bank holiday weekends.

Cancellation policy 

1. You can cancel up to 21 days prior to your arrival date, however your deposit will be retained. 

2. No refund will be available for cancellation within 21 days of your stay and you will be liable for the full booking charge. 

3. Booking within 21 days of your stay will require full payment and no refund will be available in the event of a cancellation or no-show. 

4. Please notify us immediately by email at caz@garthside.co.uk if you wish to cancel your booking. If possible, Garthside Farm Holidays will, at its discretion, agree to change your booking to another suitable date, subject to availability and additional costs that may apply at the new date.

Non-Availability 

1. Garthside Farm Holidays reserves the right to cancel a booking for any reason. 

2. Garthside Farm Holidays will provide a refund or offer you alternative dates, subject to availability, if we cancel your booking for any quality related issue (eg. break down of facilities or disruption of water or electrical supply, etc.).

Force majeure

1. In the event of Garthside Farm Holidays cancelling your booking or being forced to close due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to 'Acts of God', government or public authority actions or interventions, pandemic, law or travel restrictions that may be imposed, terrorism, serious crime or natural disaster, we will not be liable for any refunds or expenses incurred. We strongly recommend that you have UK holiday insurance to cover these possibilities of disruption to your holiday. 

2. Regardless of the circumstances of the cancellation, our liability is limited to a refund and we shall not be liable for any consequential loss.

Travel insurance

1. We strongly recommend that you take out the appropriate level of travel insurance to cover your costs if you should need to cancel your holiday for any reason.

 

Check-in and check-out

1. Check-in is from 3pm. Check-out is by 10am promptly. 

2. Please advise us in advance of your expected time of arrival. 

 

Adult-only Glamping

1. Guests staying in, or using the facilities at the Glamping pods at Garthside Farm Holidays must be 18 years of age or older.

Smoking 

1. Smoking is strictly not permitted in any of the accommodation units. 

​

Parking 

1. There is one designated parking only allocated to each pod in the main parking area. No other parking is allowed. 

​

Dogs and pets

1. We do not accept any dogs or pets on the site. 

​

BBQ and fire pits

1. The BBQ/fire pit must be used in the position in which it is provided and must not be moved onto any other surface or outside of the designated position. 

2. Private BBQs or fire pits are not allowed on site.

3. Only logs supplied by us can be used in fire pits. 

4. While in use, the BBQ/fire pit must not be left unattended at any time.

Prohibited items

1. The use of Chinese lanterns or candles of any description is strictly prohibited. 

2. Garthside Farm Holidays has a zero drug tolerance policy and any users found to be in possession of drugs or consuming drugs will be required to leave the premises immediately. The police will be notified and no refund will be given.

 

Hot tubs

1. You must be 18 years of age to use the hot tub at the glamping pods. 

2. Do not have or use any electrical appliances at or near the hot tub.

3. Do not use the hot tub while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 

4. Do not use glasses of any description in the hot tub. Plastic options are available in the pod. 

5. Do not use the hot tub if you have an infectious disease.

6. Only use the hot tub with suitable swimwear.

7. Do not dive or jump into the hot tub or sit on the sides of the hot tub.

8. Do not remove the chlorine dispenser or thermometer from the hot tub.

9. You must read and abide by the 'safe use of the hot tub' instructions and the 'use of hot tub' information provided in your pod. 

10. Persons with heart disease, high or low blood pressure, any serious illness/medical conditions, should not use the hot tub without consulting   their doctor or seeking medical advise first. 

11. Anyone who is pregnant should seek medical advice/consult with their doctor before using the hot tub.

12. The use of the hot tub is at your own risk. Garthside Farm Holidays is not liable for any injury or loss incurred through use of the hot tub.

Damages and breakages 

1. Any damage to the glamping pod, the hot tub, the furniture and fixtures, items provided or site facilities will incur additional charges. The bank card used to make the booking will be charged without prior notice. 

​

Refuse and Recycling

1. Refuse and recycling must be put in the designated bins in the refuse and recycling area on a daily basis. 

 

Cleaning charges

1. Please ensure that all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are washed and the glamping pod is left in a clean and tidy condition.

2. Refuse and recycling must be put in the bin and recycling area provide on site. 

3. Glamping pods left in an unsatisfactory condition will incur and additional cleaning charge of £50. 

 

Quiet site policy 

1. Garthside is a quiet site. Please respect other visitors and look after the site at all times. 

2. Noise levels must be kept to an absolute minimum after 10pm. 

​

Antisocial behaviour

1. Any guests behaving in an antisocial manner will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given. The police may be notified. 

​

Other site policies and procedures

1. Please read and adhere to all guidelines and policies relating to the use of your pod and facilities provided in your pod for the duration of your stay. 

​

Liability 

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury, sickness or inconvenience to any guest, or any vehicles, possessions or belongings, however caused nor shall we be liable for any additional expenses incurred, caused directly or indirectly, arising from any aspect of your booking. We shall under no circumstances be liable for any amount that exceeds the amount paid by you to us.
