Hadrian’s Wall Path, so a very convenient walk- in

accommodation option for walkers - an ideal

overnight stopover (one night stay limited availability Mon-Thurs only) in either direction on the Path. It is a place to take off the walking boots and soak in the hot tub while enjoying the beautiful views and natural surroundings. Wake up refreshed and rejuvenated, after spending the night in the absolute comfort of your luxury pod, ready for the next leg of your walk.

If you would like to base yourself at Garthside for two nights (weekdays and/or weekends) , consider walking in and spending the night, then walk out the next morning to complete the next stretch and return by taxi. Then start where you finished the by booking a taxi to take you back the following morning.

Garthside

The walk from Carlisle to Garthside is approximately 12 miles (20 km). Garthside to Gilsland is just under 6.5 miles (10 km) and an additional 8 miles (12km) to the Sycamore Gap area. Gilsland or Once Brewed at the Sill Landscape Discovery Centre are convenient places to finish a leg of your walk and from which to book a taxi.

Garthside Farm Holidays is self-catering accommodation. There are various options for evening meals in Brampton , 10 minutes by taxi. Delivery to Garthside is also available from restaurants in Brampton. Tea and coffee is complimentary in the pod. The pod is equipped with a two plate hob and microwave for cooking, a small fridge, kitchenware, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

You can request other breakfast provisions in advance (at least 48 hours prior to your arrival) and we will purchase these on your behalf so that you can enjoy your walking experience without the hassle of carrying provisions with you.
